CCTV news: Today (June 29), the first phase of the national key project of natural gas interconnection - Mengxi Pipeline Project was successfully put into operation, which is China's first natural gas trunk pipeline directly to Xiongan.

The total length of the Mengxi pipeline is 1,279 kilometers, passing through Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei and Tianjin. The first phase of the Mengxi Pipeline project, with a total length of 413.5 kilometers, starts from Tianjin LNG Lingang sub-transmission station to Hebei Baoding Dingxing sub-transmission Station, with a maximum pipe diameter of 1016 mm and an annual design capacity of 6.6 billion cubic meters.

Wang Chunming, deputy manager of the production Department of the Northern Pipeline Company of the State Pipeline Network Group: After the project is put into operation, it will better promote the flexible deployment of natural gas resources in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region through the interconnection with national natural gas main pipelines such as the China-Russia Eastern Route, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei branch network and the gas storage cluster in North China.
