Bow Coupling System Set
The bow-coupling system enables a THSD to couple to, and discharge slurry via a floating hose dredge pipeline or by means of a rain-bow nozzle
The bow coupling system is fitted with a unique coupling mechanism to the floating how dredge pipeline. The coupling mechanism comprises of a click-in ball joint mechanism (male-part) which is locked and released by a single hydraulic cylinder mechanism. This mechanism is designed to perform in rugged operating conditions; any sand or dirt accumulation will not interfere with the locking and releasing mechanism of the male part.
The Bow-coupling system is an important part on Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger(TSHD). It includes a set of flexible hoses connected with the TSHD and floating pipeline. It includes a head float, a buoyancy-free hose(hose A) and a tapered floating hose(hose B) and main pipeline floating hose (Hose C).
Advantages
1. With high tensile strength.
2. Excellent flexibility, can bend to 360°in any direction.
3. It has sufficient buoyancy and can float in the water on its own.
4. There are obvious markings on the external surface of the Head Float for easy identification and safe operating.
